Branson Shows

Depending on the time of year you visit Branson, will also determine what shows will be performing. January thru the middle of March the majority of them are closed.

Starting the middle of March they will begin to open for the year and by the middle of April they will all be open. Also by the middle of March all of the schedules and theater changes will be completed. They will play until the end of October when they will close for the year and get ready for "Christmas in Branson."

From the beginning of November until the middle of December, Branson is changed into a Christmas wonderland. This six week period is probably the busiest time of the year, but also the most magical. Decorations abound and the town becomes one of the top 10 best places to celebrate the Christmas season in the country. Naturally this spirit is carried over to the theaters and the performances.

Branson started out and obtained a reputation of strictly Country Music but over the years that has really changed. Now there is a good variety of music types ranging from country to 50's, 60's, gospel, comedy, magic and illusions. With so much to see is it any wonder why people return year after year.

Naturally there are others that are good and worthwhile in seeing if you have the time. And with so many there are even a few that are not recommended.
